[watches him warily, giving him a moment to process the information] She wanted to try it, but she didn’t want to go off with someone she didn’t know. So she asked me. Said she trusted that I wouldn’t cross any of her limits or anything like that. I made sure she was certain of whether or not she wanted it. It was a mutual agreement, on her terms and initiative.
Still, apparently people think it’s their business what choices she makes, and Sigurd seems to think I should be punched in the face for that. [grimaces] As long as they take it out on me rather than her, I don’t really care.
[He listens to him for a little while, nodding even if he wasn’t paying complete attention to it all. He shoves a hand in his pocket and fixes his eyes on the ground, waving idly with the other] Yeah, yeah. Of course. I know Mari, and I know you. I didn’t come up with the conclusion that this was the result of some half-pissed tumble.
It’s just— Mari, you know? [Ola frowns, but appears more conflicted than legitimately upset as he looks up to meet his eyes] She’s the closest a lot of us’ve had to what humans call family, someone younger to take care of, so— I guess the situation is much like what humans face.

It’s not like anything negative came out of it for either of us, so they really shouldn’t have any say in it. I mean, Askil is closer to me than her when it comes to “family”, but I don’t really see it like that, and apparently nobody else has an issue with that.
